COVID-19 Protocols
We Are Taking the Following Precautions to Minimize the Risk of Spread:
- Prescreening patients and staff for COVID before they enter our clinic. Anyone with a fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, difficulty breathing or have been traveling internationally in the last two weeks will not be allowed to receive treatment at this time.
- Timing patient visits to allow for physical distancing as well as providing first-of-day appointments for high risk populations such as the immuno-compromised or elderly patients. We are also staggering appointments so an operatory can remain unoccupied for a period of time to allow for dissipation of any aerosols.
- Increased disinfection practices in the reception area of common touch points, as well as installation of Plexiglass.
- Increased plastic barriers wherever possible. Disinfection and sterilizing practices of operatory and instruments will be continued, as always, according to Alberta Dental Association and College protocols.
- Increased PPE. When in direct patient contact, staff are required to wear full PPE (Gown, level 3 Mask, face shield, gloves and bouffant). When not providing direct patient care, staff must wear a mask whenever two meters of distance cannot be maintained.
- We ask that all patients use the provided hand sanitizer upon arriving and leaving the clinic.
- Options for contactless payments as well as emailing of receipts and/or insurance claim forms.
How You Can Do Your Part to Help Keep Our Clinic Safe:
- Arrive as close as possible to your appointment time. You will be taken to an available operatory as soon as you arrive. If you arrive early, please wait in your vehicle until your appointment time.
- Only one person per family allowed in the clinic. Please have companions wait in the vehicle. Exceptions are made for patients who are dependents or require a translator.
- While masks are not mandatory they are encouraged, especially when occupying common areas such as the elevator or lobby.
- Use of contactless payments whenever possible. We do not have the "tap" feature, however we encourage payments to be made with a credit card over-the-phone or e-transfer, as much as possible. For your security, we do not keep credit cards numbers on file.
